This video has been in the queue for months. I was saving it in hopes that a cessation of violence would be cause for jubilation and celebration. The costumes and dances are Cossack in origin and kept me enthralled as a child . . . along with sword dances and other very fast and challenging folk dances. They are called prisyadka and obviously take a lot of practice!
I probably have some Cossack genes and enough fire to appreciate the virtuosity and practice required; however, peace is what I pray will come soon!

I remember dancing this when I was about 10 years old in the summer camp. I loved Ukrainian folk dances and costumes!
