This is the four-month anniversary of my launch on Substack. There have been over 70 posts during this time. Guesstimating the interests of the readers is not always easy. Both Balaji, my assistant, and I study the statistics, mainly opens and views, whereas Substack places the heaviest emphasis on likes, shares, and new subscriptions.
I do wear a few different hats, but, overall, my sense is that people are seeking material that will give them a firmer grip on the many challenges we are facing. Food security is very important, and I confess my thinking around this has focused on community and family/households. This is partly due to the deterioration of the environment and nutrient quality of the food, but also to the very high price we pay for transportation as well as the health consequences of poor nutrition and sometimes dangers of industrially produced food (and medicine).
Food and Medicine
There have always been risks associated with agriculture, everything from locusts to droughts and natural disasters. Diversification provides security when something like blights lead to famine. My recent posts have focused on inexpensive nutritious food that can be easily grown in a tiny space, conversion of lawns to food forests, and community-based projects involving schools, churches, clubs, and even landscaping surrounding commercial buildings and hospitals. I have not yet discussed roof gardens on Substack, but this is something that is growing fast in congested cities like Singapore as well as forward-thinking industrial complexes. These gardens are also pollinator-friendly because bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds are safe from predators like cats and honey-hungry bears.
Prophecy
The next area that seems to interest readers is views of the future and what we might expect if we master our current issues. I have avoided politics, but obviously have opinions on this matter. I think we need more than noise. Candidates should have their feet held to the fire so that they explain clearly how the ills of our times will be resolved. These include financial and food security, safety from the countless threats that disrupt lives, privacy and freedom, environmental trusteeship, and harmony with neighbors and other countries. Candidates who are running on single issues may qualify for a position with an agency, but not for president or prime minister.
For instance, anyone running for high office in any country should have concrete plans for revitalization of the economy that are long-term, not necessarily more factories, but more focus on the quality of our air, water, food, and medicine. We should have investment in infrastructure like roads and dams. We should have serious law enforcement and retraining of both police and prisoners so we feel safe in our homes, communities, and when traveling.
Realistically, when someone is light years ahead of the crowd, he or she is at risk of not being heard. People have been indoctrinated and many are addicted to gadgets and consumerism; but are we thinking clearly about sustainability and the quality of life? Are we clear about what generates a sense of satisfaction, pleasure, pride in our achievements, and what fulfills our destinies as souls.
Music
As some people are aware, we live in a matrix of sound so what we hear actually has a huge impact on us. When my subscription list was hosted on my own server, I posted some music around the Christmas and New Year holidays, but I have been a little bolder with Substack, and am finding that some people, many more than expected, share my love of music. I am myself an opera buff and have gone very light in this area, not even posting a single Verdi selection . . . and he is my favorite composer. I almost did this for mother’s day . . .
This is what I nearly posted on Mother’s Day . . . because it is about an angel in heaven, but then I thought it’s not quite right since I knew my mother had reincarnated. It is part of the the first act of a mid-Verdi opera about a widower hunchback who is a court jester for a debauched duke. Rosa Feola sings Gilda, the ill-fated daughter of Rigoletto who is beautifully sung by Quinn Kelsey.
I wrote a book on music therapy and reincarnation back in 80s. It is still unpublished, but it may actually be the most important work I have done in this lifetime. The thesis is that inspiration is the beginning of a process that sets in motion manifestation. This, in turn, affects the fabric of society and what unfolds. As time goes on, the ideas are grounded and begin to reshape how we think about life.
Opera is complex because it actually involves all the art forms. There is a story, the libretto. There is a stage with sets, singers with costumes, and an orchestra with many instruments. There is acting and emotion, and often ennobling moments that elevate our vibrations.
In a time when people are talking about awakening, becoming fifth dimensional, or functioning as souls, what we hear and what we say is very important. We are bombarded by rubbish day in and day out. I am surprised sometimes that anchormen and women are so strident, irritating, and often ignorant. Do the people behind the scenes think we do not listen and that bombast is needed to be heard?
In music therapy, as I have said in previous Substack posts, the option is to use lightning and thunder or seduction. Having Pisces rising, I prefer to lure a memory out of hiding than to force it out by breaking barriers. When a person feels safe, he or she will speak freely and become interactive. When cornered, some people clam up and others fight. I’m the frozen canary type and will look for ways to escape when bullied.
This is leading to a point I feel is important with all our media consumption. For me, it is irritating to hear people purporting to be enlightened while using vulgar language and sounding like they might be more interested in beer than enlightenment. There is a time and place for being serious as well as for relaxing in whatever way one chooses, but we need to know when we are on the air and when we are unwinding.
Healing
As everyone knows, I am a medical astrologer who has studied many systems of medicine since the sixties. More than half of my studies have focused on Ayurveda, but I have actually studied many other systems going back to ancient Egypt and Greece, some indigenous systems, and herbal medicine. I have been formulating for years and have my own line of herbs and essential oils, but what is unique is how darkfield microscopy has opened insights into exactly how food and herbs affect the plasma and blood.
There are many incomplete projects, one of which is to create a community in which food and herbs are grown, studied, and administered in state of the art residential facilities.
It helps me tremendously when people leave comments after reading posts because having fingers on the pulse is a way to be more interactive in a world in which some of our relationships are only virtual.
Meanwhile, I would like to thank everyone who has shown an interest in my work. It obviously encourages me to share, and hopefully enhances the experience for others as well. Many thanks.

Thank you for letting your subscribers know you are focusing on what seems important to them, but please keep sharing other knowledge as well. I am commenting for the first time and have had to go through several steps in order to comment. I subscribed when you sent the first invitation to my Proton account. I understand your need for privacy given the times we live in, but some of your subscribers may feel responding isn't in their own best interests while gaining the knowledge you are sharing. At our age, I am a few months older than you, we have seen many different aspects of our lives and the last decade has seen a devolution that humanity in general hasn't seen in a very long time. Many people need time to digest your information before understanding and/or responding. Since I have followed your postings for many years I may be able to incorporate your information more quickly than some others, yet I still feel hesitant to respond until I have a firm grasp of what you are sharing. I'm sure we both feel that we need to disseminate what we have learned before our time here is done for now, but your audience is probably much more diverse and in need of all you have to teach than your research of the Substack shows. Please keep sharing all the things that interest you for the enlightenment of all. Thank you for all past, present, and future postings.
I would love to see that book on music therapy and reincarnation published. I hope that comes to fruition.
